So who really needs anger management? Anger management is best suited to people whose lives are affected by their anger. Do you ever find your life disrupted through actions you take when angry? If you are put into a group session then you will be placed with other people who have the same level of anger as you. During the sessions you will work through your anger issues which will lead to the discovery of your triggers. The counsellor will also show you different techniques that can help you when you do find yourself becoming angry.

You may wonder for how long you will need to attend these sessions. This will vary from person to person. In general an eight session program will be followed but you may need more depending on the severity of your anger. For some people it is recommended that they continue to go to group sessions in order to control their anger.

Anger management should be looked at if you feel that your life is being adversely affected by your anger. This disruption could be from the physical altercations which are the result of your feelings or a more emotional disruption.
